30 Years of Pushing Together!

It started with a single step.
What began in 1996 as a small community walk in North Toronto has grown into a nationwide movement. For 30 years, Push For Your Tush has been more than just a walk or a run—it is a rallying cry for survivors, a tribute to those we’ve lost, and a promise to future generations.
Why We Push: Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in men and the third in women across Canada. But it is also 90% preventable when caught early. That is why we push. We push to break the stigma around this disease. We push to ensure every Canadian has access to screening and life-saving information.

Our objective is to make all Canadians aware that colorectal cancer can affect everyone, that it exists and 72 Canadians each day are diagnosed.
We want people to talk about it far & wide! Colorectal cancer is Preventable, Treatable, and Beatable, and, if caught in its early stages, it is 90% curable.
Colorectal cancer is not just an old person’s disease, all Canadians should be more aware of the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer as well as what to do if they arise. Regular screening is key!
